Registration Information
All players and parents, upon registering, agree to the West Mall Code of Conduct. Any player or parent who does not comply with the Code of Conduct may face complete dismissal.
No Refunds after September 1st (U9 and below). For U16 and above, there are NO refunds for any payments received.
New participants must complete the online Parent Respect in Sport course.
West Mall reserves the right to group divisions if registration numbers dictate. Personal requests (such as playing with a friend or being coached by someone) are not guaranteed.

U6 Learn to Play (2020/2021 born)
- 26-week program with skills development coach Shane Nuttley
- Saturday mornings (1 hour)
- Centennial Park Arena
U7/U8 House League (2019/2018 born)
- 26-week program
- Minimum 4-team league
- Saturday morning games on ½ ice, 2 x 22 minutes
- Sunday morning practices (1 hour)
- Centennial Park Arena
U9 House League (2017 born)
- 26-week program
- Minimum 4-team league
- Saturday morning games on ¾ ice until January & full ice until March, 2 x 22 minutes

Fees include sweaters/socks, Sunday morning practice (1 hour), team and individual photos, Santa skate in December, awards, and banquet in April.

Early April registrations can take advantage of house league evaluation skates in April and May.
Registration fees can be paid all in one sum or in 4 installments throughout the spring and summer months.
Competitive Development Program (“Select”)
- Teams offered in U7 (2019/2020 born), U8 (2018 born), and U9 (2017 born) divisions
- Evaluation skates in September
- Must be registered for house league play; additional fees based on team budget
- Home and away sweaters and socks, as well as team jackets and toques
- 18 league games minimum, 2-3 tournaments

Frequently Asked Questions
Why am I asked for my birth date when filling in my main contact information?
This is strictly for security purposes. It allows you to register for the correct age division and assists in password recovery.
I forgot my password. How do I find it?
Click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link located on the HCR opening page and follow the instructions.
How will I receive my password if my email address has changed?
You can update your email address during the password recovery process.
Is there a way of changing my password?
Yes, you can change your password by clicking on the "Change my ID/Password" link in your profile.
Can I specify a certain coach or team for my child?
No, requests are not guaranteed.
Can I request that my child play with a friend for car-pooling purposes?
Yes, but there are no guarantees.
What documentation do I need if I want to coach?
You need either the previous GTHL "Speak-Out Harassment & Abuse Certification" or the current GTHL "Respect In Sport" online certification and "BackCheck" volunteer screening.

Loyalty Discount
Bring a new member (friend or sibling) to West Mall and you each receive a $100 refund after registration. The refund will be issued in September.
Refund Policy
Refunds will only be considered with written requests (mailed or e-mailed). Please submit your request to West Mall Minor Hockey Association, attention the Registrar. Please allow approximately 2 weeks for processing from the time of notification. Fundraising money will not be refunded. Uniforms and equipment must be returned. The balance of registration fees will be refunded as follows:
- September 1st, or Earlier: 100% Refunded (Less $50 Admin Fee) for U9 and below.
- If After September 1st: 0% Refunded for U9 and below.
If you request a release, 50% of the paid amount will be refunded (U9 and below only).
